Could you be eligible for assistance with childcare costs?
Family Boost is a childcare payment available to help eligible households pay for early childhood education. If you are eligible, we can assist you by providing a 3-month invoice for each quarterly claim period.
You may be eligible to receive FamilyBoost via myIR, if you:
- Are the caregiver of a child or children aged 5 and under
- Have household income of less than $180,000 a year,
- Have fees from a licensed early childcare education provider, and
- Are a tax resident of New Zealand
Separated parents/caregivers living in separated households can claim FamilyBoost if you:
- Have regular day-to-day care of the child or children
- Each have costs for early childhood education
- Each have separate invoices in your names
