Our Magical Christmas Door Display

This holiday season, our early learning centre has been transformed into a Christmas wonderland, thanks to the creativity and hard work of our amazing teachers. The Christmas door display is not just a beautiful sight, it's an interactive, festive experience that has brought our community closer together. Each classroom door is uniquely decorated, sparking joy and excitement in children, parents, and teachers. The display has created a fun, engaging atmosphere for our children, with photo booths, walking through archways, and windows for selfies. The display has filled our halls with laughter, creativity, and holiday cheer, bringing everyone together to celebrate the season. A huge thank you to our teachers, parents, and students for making this Christmas so special! Happy Holidays! 🎄✨

Springtime Gardening

Welcome to spring and a wonderful time to plant, see our flowers bloom and to harvest our vegetables! Recently whanau will have seen that we have been picking our spinach out from our own garden in our learning environment. We take several bowlfuls to our Centre Cook and she add these to our scones and pizzas. Some of our older children enjoyed watching through the kitchen window as our cook placed the spinach into the cooking, and some of our children didn't seem to notice they were eating healthy veges in their food. Shhhh don't tell them! A couple of weeks ago, we took our children outside the front of our centre, in small groups from all learning spaces. This is where we enjoyed planting sunflowers. The seedlings are now growing up out of the ground, along our outside entrance pathway. We welcome our children, families and community to help water these and talk about them to the children. Between the exciting planting and harvesting, the children have also been helping to regularly water the plants around the playground. They are the greatest little helpers!

Embracing Art

At Little Wonders, we are always celebrating the creativity of our youngest artists. Our toddlers are diving into the world of art with enthusiasm. Art activities are more than just fun. They play a crucial role in early development. Through their creations, our children enhance fine motor skills, learn about colors and textures, and develop their unique sense of self. Each masterpiece is a testament to their growing abilities and the joy they find in exploring new forms of expression. Encouraging creativity from an early age not only boosts confidence but also fosters a lifelong appreciation for the arts. As we watch our learners transform their ideas into vibrant works of art, we’re reminded of the incredible potential within every child. Contact us today to book a tour of our centre, we'd love to show you around!
